Before you apply

A clear path from preparation to award.

SCCEEF helps families bridge the gap between school-awarded financial aid and what they can realistically afford for Catholic high-school tuition.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all four criteria.

School

Be admitted to or enrolled in a Catholic high school within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Academics

Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.

Financial need

Demonstrate verified financial need.

04

Athletics

Participate as a student-athlete in organized school or club sports.

Required documents

Prepare individual PDFs

All required items must be uploaded before submission, except the Financial Aid Award Decision Letter.

Completed online application

Must be filled out in full before proceeding.

Two teacher or administrator recommendations

If a coach is also a teacher or administrator, separate letters must still be uploaded to the corresponding fields.

One coach or athletic representative recommendation

A recommendation from the applicant’s coach or another athletic representative.

Personal statement

Maximum two typewritten pages covering academic accomplishments, high-school goals, interests, and intended field of study.

Financial Aid Award Decision Letter

This is the only item that may be missing at submission. The application will be held for follow-up until it is received.

Parent or guardian’s federal tax return

The most recent personal federal tax return.

Academic transcript

Must show at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.

Acceptance letter

Required for newly admitted students. It must be from a Catholic high school in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Annual re-application

Scholarships are reviewed every year.

Each scholarship recipient must complete the application process annually to renew their scholarship. SCCEEF strongly encourages student applicants to participate actively in the process, promoting ownership and responsibility.
